The first Annual Federal Digital Engineering Forum (FEDDEF) has reached capacity and Registration is closed. We are pleased that so many people were interested in this opportunity to gather and discuss DE efforts in the federal space.
ABOUT
DoD will host a multi-agency forum for Digital Engineering practitioners and decision makers to collaborate, share best practices, and address pain points. The forum will bring together decision makers across multiple agencies. During this forum, attendees will share knowledge and recommend solutions.
Expected Outcomes
Attendance at the inaugural Federal Digital Engineering Forum (FED DEF) will provide an environment for DE practitioners and decision makers to collaborate, share best practices, success stories, challenges, and address pain points. This three-day forum to be held 24-26 October in Alexandria, VA will be the premier event for Digital Engineers across the Federal Government from the DoD services, MDA, DHS, DOE, EPA, FAA, NASA, and others.

LOCATION

Visitor Parking
Public parking in the area is limited. We highly recommend visitors use public transportation or ride share. Paid street and garage parking (National Industries for the Blind/Kaiser Permanente) may be available in the immediate vicinity of IDA. Do not park in the Potomac Yard Center (Target) lot or the surface lot across from IDA’s main entrance. Towing is enforced.
Driving Directions/Public Transportation
The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) is located at 730 East Glebe Road, Alexandria, VA 22305.
Because public parking in the area is limited, we recommend staff and visitors take advantage of the many public transportation options available:
- The Potomac Yard-VT Metrorail Station, located a few blocks from IDA’s facility, services the Blue and Yellow rail lines with connection points in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia.
- The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) trip planner offers rail and bus travel options from your location.
- WMATA’s Metroway and Alexandria Transit Authority’s DASH bus lines service the Potomac Yard-VT station and stop on East Glebe Road in front of IDA’s facility.
